India also has many movie directors that risen to global limelight in the movie industry but for today we will look at the top 5. I have made up this list listing my 5 best directors from Bollywood, throughout any time.


1. Ashutosh Gowariker

Although it was a rough going for him when he started, he is now one of India's elite directors. He began his film career modeling in commercials by Govind Nihalani and Jenny Pinto. He entered Hindi cinema with Ketan Mehta. I think he is the best indian director of all time. His lagaan was nominated for acadamy awards and was highly critically aclaimed.


2. Sanjay Leela Bhansali

 His movie (black) got highest no. of film awards (11 awards) and another movie he made (devdas) got second highest no.of awards (10 awards).


3. Karan Johar

He is a renownded movie director and also has a popular chat show named Koffee with Karan The success of "KKHH" made him one of the most high-profile directors in the Hindi-language Mumbai Film industry (Bollywood).
